Welcome to Lincoln Hill High School. We are a school of choice housed on a shared campus with Stanwood High School. Students at LHHS are provided an opportunity to learn and succeed in a non-traditional and flexible learning environment. We work hard to meet the individual needs of students both academically and socially in hopes to promote them towards eventual high school graduation.
We offer three programs to students: classes, independent study and on-line learning.
Our classroom model is similar in schedule and calendar to that of Stanwood High School. Students attend a regular school day but attend smaller classes with a greater attention placed on individual needs and abilities.
Our independent study program offers students the opportunity to complete the majority of their schoolwork away from school. They meet weekly with the teachers where they are expected to turn in their weekly assignments and are provided with materials for the following week. Students who are successful in this environment build strong self-discipline skills and independent work habits.
Our third and newest program is our on-line learning program. This program offers students the ability to complete courses via the Internet. The courses are rigorous and challenging and also maintain a high interest level. Students in this program are not required to meet weekly with their teacher as all of their assignments are received and completed on-line. However, assigned teachers are available to communicate with students via e-mail, over the phone and/or in person.
While most of our students access only one of our programs, many opt to enroll in multiple options. Additional flexibility is offered to our students as many of them enroll in courses offered by Stanwood High School, which we are not able to provide.
