IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CHANGES TO 2009/10 BUS ROUTES
Stanwood-Camano School District’s funding is decreasing in 2009-10 because of the state budget deficit and declining student enrollment. As a result, the district needs to reduce costs in all areas. Unfortunately, these reductions will affect students, families, and district employees. The transportation department has had to make the following adjustments due to these challenging funding declines:

Cassie G. received the Board
of Directors' Shining Star Award for Lincoln Hill High School after working hard at school and showing that she can overcome challenges to achieve her goals.
Principal Johnston attended the March 17th school board meeting and explained how the LHHS staff almost unanimously selected her for the 2008-09 Shining Star Award for Lincoln Hill High School. He described Cassie as focused in school and working hard toward her future goal of becoming a nurse.

Reed J. received the Board
of Directors' Shining Star Award for Lincoln Academy after working hard at school and showing that he can overcome challenges in ways that not many other students have done.
Principal Johnston and Reed's teacher Mr. Christensen attended the March 17th school board meeting and described Reed as a student who displays leadership skills while having a great sense of humor. These are some of the several reasons Reed was selected to receive the 2008-09 Shining Star Award for Lincoln Academy.

As a result of the recent outbreak of measles in Moses Lake,Washington (Grant County), Snohomish Health District has provided us withinformation about measles disease and how to prevent your child from becoming ill.At this time, there is no evidence of measles disease within Snohomish County.
