Tips For Coping With Trauma
- Hits: 48
Your student received information today that one of their classmates, a Stanwood High School freshman, passed away. At this time, we do not have information about memorial services.
Everyone responds differently to the loss of a classmate. Some students may be more impacted than others. We have asked our students to respect each other's way of grieving and help one another. Our counselors and other counselors from across the district are available to meet with them in the library and counseling center on the SHS Main Campus or the conference room on Church Creek Campus.
Please see the attached documents below for resources to help your teen deal with grief. If you have speical concerns about your son/daughter, please contact the Lincoln HIll Counselor, Christy Thompson.

This week, Lincoln Hill High School and Lincoln Academy were selected by WooSah! to receive 20 spinners. These spinners are being placed in the offices of our counselors, nurse and intervention specialist to be used by our students.
The dream of WooSah is to have a WooSah available for any child who needed something to help them soothe, calm or focus. We would like to thank WooSah! for their generosity.

Lincoln Academy - Enrolling for the 2017-2018 Year
- Hits: 958
Lincoln Academy is the Stanwood-Camano School District alternative middle school program. It was designed to provide a more personalized learning environment for students who are struggling to pass their classes or truly engage in school at Stanwood or Port Susan Middle Schools.
Lincoln Academy is a small middle school located on the Church Creek campus. We offer smaller class sizes, individualized instruction, flexible academic approaches based on need and a friendly, supportive environment. Eighth grade students also have the opportunity to accelerate and earn high school credit. We are enrolling now for the 2017-2018 school year.
Lincoln Academy teaches the same curriculum as both of the traditional middle schools, but in smaller class sizes (20 or less).
This is an invitation to consider Lincoln Academy as a possibility. Please contact Ryan Ovenell, Principal at 1.360.629.1340 or by email to set up a time to visit and learn more about Lincoln Academy. You can also see a video of students and staff answering questions often asked by parents and students.
